Out with the old and in with the new... hopefully!

For those of you who don't know what I do for a living, I am training to be a hairdresser. 

Its a flat £90 a week for a lot of work, but alot of training and career prospects at the end of the tunnel. Or so I thought. 

The placement I have now is horrible. I have had 1 training day in over 6 months and I clean for 10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

but I have had an interview today (which went really well) for a new placement ;]

Yippeeee!

They're a new salon who want someone at my level, to get trained up as quickly as possible, get stuck into hair comps, demonstrations and get a column built up as quickly as possible.

Happy days :)

So I have a trial day next week where I have to bring in a couple of models, show off what I can do and then hopefully I will start!

Ins and Outs 1

I love the idea of these posts so I am going to follow suit and do one to :)

• Sunbeds (I've burnt my chest and my bum) bad times.

Today I visited Warehouse, Primark, Selfridges and Boots :]

From Warehouse I have bought a lovely bodycon dress for Valentines day and it's lovelyyyyy :]

From Primark I bought one of those braided headbands and some purple and black drop earrings and a purple jumper :]] (modeled in the picture by me haha, what a dork)

I got loads of other bits and pieces (pearl style necklaces and bangles, socks, bras, shorts) and a plain black cardigan.

At selfridges I went to MAC and NARS and got a back up of my foundation (MAC Select SPF15 IN NC30 and Nars Laguna, nothing exciting but very essential :]

I went a bit mad in Boots on haircare I got a brunette shampoo and conditioner duo from Charles Worthington, a Trevor Sorbie brunette colour gloss, some Umberto Gianni Sleek blow dry spray, volumising spray and some shine spray :]]

Yey :]

My house

My house got trashed :/

Mess everywhere. red wine on the carpet, someone fell into a plant pot outside and it smashed.

All in all, a good night :] Aha. 

I have just got an email from NARS showing the 'new' duo concealers. I want one, I think. The idea of the compact is really good, incorporating two products I use on a daily basis. 

Does anyone else have this product and is it as good as it looks?

I have to say I am a little apprehensive about whether a skin product which only comes in three shades would work for everyone. Maybe i'm just being too pessimistic and i'm sure they will be much better than what I think :)

I'm sorry :(

I have missing from my blog lately and i'm very sorry :(
I have been so busy with work, Andy's 21st etc...

but I got paid today so there will be some haul posts soon :)

So this is just a quick update; I am throwing a party tomorrow for Andys' 21st (Yey) my house is going to packed with like a million people (eek!) but it should be good and i'm really looking forward to it :)

I have given up on fake tan for the past week, until I can afford fake bake, because St. Tropez is the worst ever.

I have also decided I HAVE to stop biting my nails, it is a discusting habit, so i'm going running back to falsies next week :)

SNOW!

I love the snow :) 

I didn't have to go to work today so I just sat in my bedroom all snug with my boyfriend looking at how pretty it was :)

I bet it wasn't so funny if I was in work today and had to walk to work in it :( 

So on to the good stuff.

I went to the Trafford Centre last Friday, no make up bought (i'm holding fire for the Hello Kitty Collection) but I did get a new coat :)

I have no camera so I can't show you all it though :( 

It's from River Island and is gorgeous, it's a black short mac with 3/4 length sleeves :)

As soon as I get a camera (which will be soon) I will be sure to take a picture to show you all :)

OH MY GOD!

What the hell is going on with my skin! I don't usually ever have a real problem with it, the occasional spot and a little pale but my complexion is usually pretty good, but I have woken up today and I am covered in spots, one huge one on my nose, one on my chin and a couple of little ones on my cheek.

At the moment I am using Clean and Clear Daily Scrub and Olay Beauty fluid in the morning and Clean and Clear Blackhead cleanser at night followed with St Tropez gradual face tanner. 

I have a feeling it might be the St Tropez ( I am really beginning to hate St Tropez!) but i'm not sure whether it is time for a skincare overhaul, considering this routine (excluding the gradual tanner) is the same I have used since I was about 14?

What do all you lovelies use on your skin to keep it clear and pretty.

The tanning obsession!

I like to have a tan, without one I look like a corpse and the same goes for my boyfriend. 

This week we both took measures to get that lovely glow we desire :) He went on the sunbed, I grabbed my St Tropez spray tan bottle. Neither went well. 

I came out looking distinctively like an umpa lumpa (green hair not included) even though the shade was meant to be fair to medium, and Andy burnt himself so bad he got prickly heat and had to hide the bright red face with foundation.

Not good. 

So i'm looking for alternatives, what do you use to get that lovely healthy glow that doesn't leave you glow in the dark or in pain?
